The 2012 edition of the American Equity Racing Team includes some familiar faces, as well as some great new additions. Each rider's background is highlighted in their individual biography profiles.
The members of American Equity Racing will participate in a variety of events including the State Fair RR/Crit, The Tour of Hermann, The Iowa City and Bikes, Blues, & BBQ Omniums, Iowa State Cycling Championship Events, and of course, our own American Equity Road Race on July 14th.

- Paul has been racing continuously since 1988;and including all the little races around Iowa (especially time-trials).
- Paul has over 100 wins. Not counting time trials that number drops significantly to something pretty close to 0.
- He raced his first Old Capitol Criterum as a junior in 1987; wearing a black leather hair-net, neon pink jersey and lime green shorts. He lasted 4 laps.
- Paul took 2nd in the Mason City Band Day Criterium as a newly ordained cat 4 in 1987 behind none other than the infamous Kim West who won with fenders on his bike. Paul won a t-shirt.
- Paul has raced in 24 states and have the other 24 lower states are on his bucket list.
- The 2008 Leadville Trail 100 was his most memorable day on a bike. Ironically, he cannot remember very much of it.
